Hey, it’s Josh. One useful thing tonight, then a small bit of news at the end.
Here is a habit that changed how much I actually use Claude, and almost nobody does it: stop typing, and talk to it instead.
When you type, you tidy up before you have even finished thinking. You compress, you leave things out, you write the neat version. So the messy, honest, useful stuff, the half-formed decision, the thing you are avoiding, the day you cannot get started, never makes it into the box. And that is exactly the stuff Claude is most helpful for.
The fix is the microphone button you already have. On your phone, tap the mic on your keyboard and just talk. On a Mac, press the dictation key. Ramble. Do not organise it. Say everything rattling around, out of order, then hand the mess to Claude with one line:
|
“That was me thinking out loud. Sort it into what I actually need to do, what I am worried about, and the one thing to start with. Ask me anything that is not clear.”
|
Here is what that looks like:
|
You, talking
“ok so there is the landlord thing I keep not doing, and I need to reply to Sam but I am annoyed about it, and there is the invoice, and I do not even know what is most important, I am just tired.”
|

Claude, back
A clean, sorted list. The task you have been avoiding, named. The email you are dreading, flagged with a calmer way to reply. Your three priorities. The one thing to start with.
|
Why it works: you think faster than you type, and talking skips the internal editor that quietly deletes the important bits. You are good at having the mess. Claude is good at turning mess into a plan. Let each of you do the part you are good at.
Try it tonight. Open Claude, tap the mic, and just talk at it for thirty seconds about tomorrow. See what comes back.
One quick bit of news, then I will let you go. The thing I have been building, The Complete Claude System, opens tomorrow, Monday July 6 (9am ET, 11pm AEST). It is full of small setups like this one, put together so Claude quietly runs your week without you losing track of anything.
If you took the founding survey, keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow for your price: first access, and the lowest it will ever be. Everyone else, the doors open to all at the same time. No pressure, come have a look.
Talk soon,
Josh
